A kit of the General Dynamics F-111A Aardvark Vietnam War combat aircraft in 1:48 scale from Academy.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the General Dynamics F-111A tactical bomber in 1:48 scale from Academy. The model captures the characteristic variable-geometry wing (the so-called swing wing), which can be set on the model in the extended and in the swept position. The boxing is aimed thematically at service in the Vietnam War. Check the particular contents and the number of schemes against the manufacturer's part number. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark was an American supersonic tactical bomber and strike aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. The F-111A version was the first production variant for the USAF; the two-man crew sat side by side. The machine stood out for its ability to fly low at high speed thanks to terrain-following radar, and for its long range. It saw combat in the Vietnam War, among other things in operations at the close of the conflict in the early 1970s.
Give attention to the mechanism of the movable wings and decide whether you want to leave them movable. Clean the parts with a fine file and glue them with thin cement for plastic. It pays to paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage, and to cover the canopy glazing with masks. An airbrush suits the American tactical schemes, followed by bringing out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
