An injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-ton 4x2 truck known as the Opel Blitz, in 1:48 scale from the Tamiya military miniature line. The model faithfully captures the ladder frame of the chassis, the interior of the cab and the cargo bed. The package also includes drums and jerrycans and a driver figure.
The Opel Blitz was the best-known three-ton truck of the German army in the Second World War. It was built in large numbers and formed the backbone of the supply and transport logistics of the Wehrmacht on every front. Its simple and reliable design made it a universal carrier of cargo and of troops and at the same time a chassis for a range of special bodies.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the interior of the cab before you cover them. Spray the base with primer and the main color with an airbrush. Fill the cargo bed with a load, accentuate the planks and rivets with a wash, and use pigments to create dust and mud on the chassis and the fenders. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
