This sheet of waterslide decals is intended for models of the Gloster Meteor in its F.8 version, or rather in the target tug conversion. It is the third part of the series devoted to this aircraft, so it adds further markings to the designs from the earlier sheets. The decals let you finish a model in a specific form, including the national insignia and the fuselage markings. The model itself and paints are not included.
The Gloster Meteor was the first jet aircraft put into series service by the Allies and the only one to reach operational service during the Second World War. The F.8 version, with a lengthened fuselage and a modified tail, formed the backbone of RAF day fighter aviation in the first half of the 1950s. A number of airframes later served for training and for towing aerial targets, often in a striking signal finish with stripes.
Cut the decals close to the design and transfer them from lukewarm water onto a smooth gloss varnish, so that no silvering occurs. A softening and setting solution will help them bed into the engraved lines and transitions. Seal the finished markings with a protective varnish of the sheen you want.
This is a set of decals, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
