The Eduard F4F-3 Wildcat wing gun bays 1:48 (3D printed) is a 3D-printed detail set for the exposed machine gun bays of a model. It is not a kit but an accessory for advanced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings 3D-printed gun bays for both wings of a model of the Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The parts are produced by direct 3D printing in resin, with fine detail on the armament and the structure of the bays. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for improving one.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was the main carrier fighter of the US Navy in the first years of the war in the Pacific. The F4F-3 variant carried four machine guns in the wings; open gun bays with their ammunition are a rewarding feature for detailed builds.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and wash off any resin residue. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); wear respiratory protection while sanding. The insides of the bays come into their own with metallic shades and a fine wash that brings out the structure.
Supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin detail set (3D printed). The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
