Resin wheels under load for the Grumman F4F Wildcat in 1:48 scale, the second form. The designation of the variant is part of the name of the item.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast main wheels for the American Grumman F4F Wildcat carrier fighter. The profile of the tire is pressed in at the point of contact with the surface, so the finished machine does not stand on a perfectly round tire. The number of the variant you will find in the name of the item; no closer description of the difference is added to it.
The landing gear is among the details the eye catches sooner than the cockpit. With a display piece shown at eye level the tire is visible up close and an undeformed shape gives away a production part. The change is at the same time one of the cheapest reworkings of all: two pieces change, not the whole build. And it influences the finished impression more than many a laborious reworking of the inside of a fuselage, which nobody will see anyway.
Start with a bath in lukewarm water with dish soap and a soft brush, then dry the part. Take the sprue off gradually, so that you do not shorten the axle of the pin. Apply the cyanoacrylate in a small amount; an excess turns white and creates a matte film on the tire. The painting you will manage with a brush too: first a dark base over the whole wheel, and once dry cover the tire with a mask and spray the hub with the shade of the landing gear. The transition to the mark on the ground is accentuated by a light dusty layer applied dry.
The item is an accessory to a build; a complete aircraft is not contained in it.
