A photo-etched detail set Eduard Gunsight 1:48 for sharpening the aircraft gunsight in a cockpit. A small accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale, which sharpens the aircraft gunsight in a cockpit. It is not a model and not a kit but a small accessory replacing a coarser plastic gunsight with a finer photo-etched version. The exact contents and purpose follow the instructions in the package.
A reflector gunsight projected a glowing aiming pattern onto a glass plate for the pilot and was a key element of the armament of fighter aircraft. It is precisely the frame, the glass and the mount of the gunsight that belong among the details which bring the interior of a cockpit to life in miniature.
The fine photo-etched parts are cut from the fret and, where needed, bent and glued into a three-dimensional shape. They are glued with super glue; the glass can be suggested with a drop of clear glue or with film. Given how small the parts are, we recommend tweezers and a magnifier.
This is a small detail accessory, not a model of an airplane. The base kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
