Responsibility details are not available.
The Halberstadt CL.II was a German two-seat biplane of the First World War. The letter C in the designation belonged to armed two-seat machines, and the added L to their lighter and more agile branch. Aircraft of this class escorted reconnaissance machines and from 1917 were used mainly to attack ground targets. The pilot and the observer sat close behind each other in one long cockpit, so they could work together without difficulty; the observer operated a movable machine gun on a ring mount. Power came from a Mercedes D.III inline six-cylinder engine.
A plastic model of the aircraft in 1:48 scale to be assembled and painted. The number of parts, the choice of finishes and the recommended shades are given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
First finish and paint the cockpit, because once the fuselage is closed you will not reach it. Set the upper wing onto the struts in a single operation and keep checking that it is parallel with the lower one; it helps to stand the fuselage on a flat board and to support the wing until the glue has set. Tension the bracing wires between the wings from fine thread only at the end, after painting, otherwise you will tear them off during the rest of the work. Wooden parts are best rendered with a glaze over a light base, while the fabric surfaces should be left matte, without gloss.
Paints, glue, thread for the bracing and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
