CMK 1:48 Hawk T.Mk.I - resin ejection seats are a detailed resin replacement for the seats of models of the BAe Hawk T.1 trainer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech maker CMK is not a kit in its own right but a detail accessory: resin ejection seats meant to replace the plastic parts on models of the BAe Hawk T.1 trainer in 1:48 scale. The resin castings carry fine detail of the structure of the seat including suggested harness straps, which injection-molded plastic usually does not capture, and so they bring the cockpit of this two-seat machine markedly to life.
The BAe Hawk T.1 is a British jet trainer, long used for advanced pilot training and known also from the performances of aerobatic teams. As a two-seat machine it has two ejection seats, which are clearly visible in an open cockpit, so a faithful rendering of them has a considerable effect on the look of a model.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off, clean the surfaces up and protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The seats come out with gradual painting and gentle weathering; bring the harness straps up in a different shade and the detail of the buckles with a dry brush.
The set holds resin ejection seats only; it is not a model in its own right and holds neither glue nor paints. A matching base plastic kit is needed to use it.
