A set for the landing gear bays of the Hawker Hurricane in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
On a finished model the landing gear bays are among the places that show more than the modeler expects. The model stands on its wheels, the bays stay open, and even an ordinary view from the side or from behind looks into them. This set is made for exactly that place on a 1:48 model of the Hawker Hurricane and replaces the solution from the kit.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-engine fighter. Its main landing gear retracted inward from the center section of the wing toward the fuselage, so the recesses for the wheels lie on either side of the fuselage and are easy to reach both for the eye and for the brush. The broken-up nature of this area, with its stiffeners and runs of piping, is one of the details that move a finished model forward considerably.
Try the set dry first and only then adjust the surfaces in the kit. Wash and degrease the parts in lukewarm water with detergent before gluing, otherwise the paint holds poorly. Choose the glue to match the material of the parts: cement for polystyrene holds on polystyrene only, and for other materials use super glue or epoxy. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little short of the part and sand off the rest carefully. Paint and shade the bays before you close the wing, because later you will not reach into them with a brush.
A set of parts for the bays is supplied. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
