A Basic set of masking stencils for the Heinkel He 111 H-6 in 1:48 scale from New Ware. The accurately cut kabuki masks make spraying the frames of the German bomber's extensive glazing markedly easier.

A set of accurately cut masking stencils in fine Japanese kabuki paper tape from New Ware. The Basic version covers the basic extent of masking for the He 111 H-6 kit in 1:48 scale - above all the divided glazing, which outlining with tape by hand would take hours and rarely comes out as cleanly. The thin material follows rounded surfaces well, holds a crisp edge and leaves no adhesive residue once peeled off.
The Heinkel He 111 was a twin-engine medium bomber that formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe bomber force in the Second World War. The H-6 version was among the most widespread: it was powered by Junkers Jumo 211 engines and, besides classic bombing, it also served as a carrier of aerial torpedoes. A characteristic feature of the aircraft is the fully glazed nose flowing into the fuselage - for a modeler one of the most demanding areas to mask, and where the stencils save the most work.
Move the masks with tweezers and press the edges down with the edge of a toothpick so that paint cannot creep under them. Spray thin coats: first the interior shade, so that the frames have the right color from inside, then the outer camouflage. Peel the stencils off gently, ideally shortly after the last coat has dried.
This is a masking accessory - the aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.
