This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model in its own right. The set brings a detailed cockpit for the German Henschel Hs 129 B ground-attack aircraft in 1:48 scale by Eduard, worked out as a combination of color 3D decals on a carrier paper and photo-etched parts. The accessory is intended for the Takom base kit, which is not included in the package. Check the exact package contents against the manufacturer's information.
The set replaces and completes the crew compartment of the plastic kit with markedly finer detail: the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and other features. The combination of 3D decals and photo-etch brings a depth and delicacy that the plastic parts from the box cannot reach, and it raises the realism of an open cockpit considerably. The real subject is the Hs 129 B, a well-armored single-seat ground-attack aircraft of the Luftwaffe from the period of the Second World War.
Do not immerse the sheet of 3D decals in water: moisten only the carrier paper under the part, lift it off with tweezers, seat it in place and fix it with PVA glue (white glue). Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, and super glue does not belong on the decals; either would damage the printed layer. Bend the small photo-etched parts with a bending tool or a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the unpainted photo-etched parts over a good primer and bring the detail out with washes and a dry brush. Finish the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up, while it is most accessible. Checking compatibility with the Takom kit is advisable.
This is a detail accessory (a cockpit set), not a model in its own right. A base kit is needed to use it and is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
