A photo-etched set for a model of the Hetzer tank destroyer in 1:48 scale, intended for the Tamiya kit. The metal parts will replace thick plastic where the sheet should be thin.
Responsibility details are not available.
Hetzer is the designation of a light tank destroyer from the end of the Second World War, built on a chassis derived from the older Pz 38(t) tank. It was marked by a low silhouette and steeply sloped armor plates of a closed superstructure, into the front wall of which the gun was built. It was small, comparatively cheap and produced in large numbers, so it is among the machines that appear in collections as well as in dioramas from the end of the war.
The package contains photo-etched metal parts in 1:48 scale and the manufacturer's instructions. The name states that the set is intended for the Tamiya kit, so count on that as the basis. On armored vehicles photo-etched parts come into their own everywhere the sheet is thin in reality and comes out exaggeratedly thick in plastic: on the small brackets, platforms, covers and the tools stowed on the vehicle.
Separate the parts from the photo-etched fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and level the remains of the tab with a fine file. Run the bends over a sharp edge or in a bending tool and press along the whole length, so that the edge does not ripple. On metal use cyanoacrylate in a minute drop, and on larger parts a two-part glue, which leaves time for seating. Before painting, wash and degrease the metal and spray on a base coat intended for metal. Fit the photo-etched parts before the paint and the dusting come, as otherwise the surroundings will be damaged during handling.
The kit of the vehicle, paints, the base coat and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
