This resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale holds finely made Hispano cannon of 20 mm caliber. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for the armament, replacing the simplified parts of a base kit. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Hispano cannon of 20 mm caliber was a widespread aircraft weapon of the Second World War, used above all by British and Allied fighters. Compared with small-caliber machine guns it offered a markedly higher destructive effect, and against armored as well as air targets it became the standard of heavier onboard armament. It was installed in the wings of aircraft, one or more guns per side.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The barrels come into their own in a dark metal shade with gentle highlighting. Check that they seat in the wing of the base kit before gluing them in.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not the airplane model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
