DEF Model resin replacement wheels in 1:48 scale for the HMMWV (Humvee) multi-purpose military vehicle in the MT version. A set with the weighted wheel effect for the greatest possible realism. Intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from DEF Model brings replacement tires and rims in 1:48 scale meant for the American HMMWV multi-purpose military vehicle, commonly known as the Humvee, in the version with MT type tires. The target kit is the Tamiya one.
The wheels are cast in quality modeling resin and faithfully imitate the coarse off-road tread of the real tires. The main merit is the weighted wheel effect, where the lower part of the tire is slightly flattened and sagged as if the weight of the heavy vehicle were bearing down on it. The model then looks realistic.
The resin castings stand out with sharp definition of the tread and the sidewalls and are a marked improvement over the plastic parts. Before gluing, it is best to wash the parts and remove the casting gates.
