The printed Hs 129 landing gear legs in 1:48 scale from 3DF replace the plastic parts and give the landing gear of the German ground-attack aircraft fine detail. The parts are printed for the Hasegawa and Hobby 2000 kits.

This item consists of replacement parts made by 3D printing, not an aircraft kit. It offers main landing gear legs for the kits of the German Henschel Hs 129 ground-attack aircraft by Hasegawa and Hobby 2000 in 1:48 scale, with fine definition of the oleos, struts and hoses that injection-molded plastic can hardly achieve.
The Henschel Hs 129 was created as a specialized ground-attack aircraft for destroying ground and armored targets. The pilot sat in a heavily armored, very tight cockpit and the whole airframe was designed with resistance to fire from below in mind. Production aircraft of the B version were powered by radial engines of French origin, available in large numbers but prone to failure in the dust of the Eastern Front. The landing gear of such an aircraft had to stand up to operating from muddy, improvised strips, so it was sturdy, and on a model it is clearly visible from below.
The printed parts are very accurate in shape but at the same time more brittle than plastic, so never bend them and cut the remains of the supports off with a sharp knife. Level the surfaces with a sanding sponge, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry through, otherwise paint holds badly. Secure the joint with super glue. With landing gear legs it pays to check the position and the angle dry first and only then glue them for good, so that the model stands straight.
