This accessory set contains cast resin parts for a faithful landing gear bay for models of the Hawker Hurricane fighter in the Mk.II and Mk.IV versions in 1:48 scale. The set is intended for plastic models of these versions. It is not a model of the airplane but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic bay. It is made by the Czech brand Brengun. Dimensionally it is based on the Hasegawa kit.
The late Hurricane Mk.II and Mk.IV versions served as fighters and as ground-attack aircraft with strengthened armament. The main landing gear retracted into wide bays in the underside of the wing, and this set captures their structure exactly.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. Verify the fit before closing the wing, and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The bay shows to advantage once it has been shaded and given a fine wash.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The Hasegawa base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
