A plastic display base in 1:48 scale representing a section of the wooden deck of an Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier of the Second World War. It is not an aircraft kit but a striking base for showing finished models of carrier aircraft in a fitting setting. The board offers plenty of room for a model in 1:48 scale.
Assemble the base, bring out the planking with varnish and a wash run into the joints, and tone the wood with browns and natural timber shades. Finish the lights with the clear parts and, if you like, dry-brush the surface to emphasize the texture.
This is a display base, not an aircraft model. Paints, glue and the aircraft are not included in the package.
