About product

Il-2 Shturmovik EXPERT painting masks 1:48 (New Ware)

An extended set of painting masks from New Ware at the EXPERT level for the Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik model in 1:48 scale. Compared with the basic level, EXPERT covers further surface elements besides the glazing and the wheels, so it allows more thorough and detailed masking of the whole model. The masks are die-cut from yellow kabuki tape.

Use

  • Degrease the glazing and the surfaces and apply the mask to a clean, dry surface.
  • Burnish the edges carefully so that paint cannot creep under the edge.
  • Spray in thin coats and peel the mask off while the paint is still slightly supple.

Who it is for

For more demanding modelers who want comprehensive and accurate masking of an Il-2 model beyond the scope of the basic set.

The masks contain no paints and no model; they serve only for masking while spraying.
