The set brings four IRIS-T infrared guided short-range missiles made by 3D printing from resin. It is an aftermarket accessory of armament for models of modern fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. The sharp rendition faithfully captures the shape of the body of the missile and of the control surfaces. The package does not contain a model of an aircraft.
The IRIS-T is a European infrared-guided short-range air-to-air missile developed under the leadership of the German firm Diehl. It is distinguished by high maneuverability and the ability to acquire a target off boresight. It is carried by a range of Western machines, for example the Eurofighter Typhoon, the Saab Gripen, the F-16 and the Tornado.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash them free of residues of uncured print resin and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Fit the enclosed clear lenses of the seeker heads only at the end, so that they stay transparent; prime the body of the missile with primer and spray it with an airbrush.
The set contains only resin parts of armament. The model of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
