Responsibility details are not available.
A pre-colored photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for the detailing of the kit of the Grumman J2F-5 Duck amphibious biplane in 1:48 scale from the Merit brand. It is not a model of an airplane but a packet of thin metal parts that replace or fill out the plastic parts and raise the level of the finished build. The set is aimed at the pilot's compartment and holds pre-colored self-adhesive elements, an instrument panel and seat belts.
The Grumman J2F Duck was an American single-engine observation and rescue amphibious biplane with a characteristic large central float. During the Second World War it served with the US Navy and the Coast Guard for observation, liaison, patrol and the rescue of downed airmen at sea.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a hard surface and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The pre-colored self-adhesive elements only need carrying carefully into place, so they sharpen the cockpit without laborious painting by hand. The small parts are best formed with tweezers or a photo-etch bending tool.
This is a supplementary set, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
