A resin detail part, not an aircraft kit. This set in finely cast resin replaces the exhaust stacks of the Japanese naval interceptor Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden in 1:48 scale. The Raiden was powered by the Mitsubishi Kasei radial engine with ejector exhausts, whose faithful shape this replacement captures exactly. The part is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The exhausts are clearly visible on the fuselage of the fighter and the way they are made strongly affects the overall impression. A resin casting offers sharper edges and a more faithful shape of the ejector stacks than the simplified part from the box, and on some pieces the outlets are realistically hollowed as well. Once painted in metallic and heat-resistant shades with light rust and oxidation, the engine area looks entirely natural.
