This is an accessory resin set, not a model of the aircraft. It holds a finely cast pilot's seat in 1:48 scale for models of the Japanese Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden fighter (Allied code name Jack). The part serves as a direct replacement for the simpler plastic seat from the base kit.
A resin seat carries finer relief of the structure, the pressings and any harness anchor points than injection-molded plastic allows. In an open or well-lit cockpit the seat is one of the most visible elements, so replacing it noticeably lifts the overall impression of the interior.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with a detergent to deal with any mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw, sand the mating face carefully and protect your airways when sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spraying a primer and painting the interior before the fuselage is closed up is recommended.
This is not a model kit but an accessory set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
