About product

A Japanese 800kg bomb 1:48 (Eduard)

This is a resin detail accessory, not a kit of an aircraft. It contains a 3D printed model of the Japanese heavy aircraft bomb weighing 800 kg in 1:48 scale, including a finely done body, the fins and the suspension items. The accessory serves to arm Japanese carrier bombers of the period of the Second World War realistically.

The real subject

The heavy Japanese 800 kg bomb was among the most effective aircraft munitions of the Japanese naval aviation. It was carried by carrier torpedo and level bombers and was intended especially against large surface targets. A faithful model of this bomb completes the armament of a model and makes it possible to build an aircraft in a combat configuration.

Tips for working with resin

Wash the mold release agent off the part, separate the casting block and clean the surface up with protection of the airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). It suits to spray the body of the bomb with a base color and to add a fine patina.

Who the accessory is for

  • Modelers of 1:48 Japanese carrier bombers
  • Those interested in realistic aircraft armament
  • Builders used to working with resin

The accessory is a model of a munition, not a model of an aircraft. It does not contain the aircraft, glue or paints and is intended for fitting to a corresponding base model.
