This resin set from the Quickboost label (a range of the maker Aires) offers a precisely cast replacement nose with a corrected shape for plastic models of the Swedish Saab JAS-39C/D Gripen multirole fighter in 1:48 scale. The accessory corrects the geometry of the fuselage nose and improves the accuracy of the silhouette. This is not an airplane kit but an upgrade part.
The replacement nose deals with the inaccuracies of shape that experienced Gripen builders notice. The resin casting offers a clean surface and a more accurate profile than the original plastic part.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water, cut off the casting block and sand the surface with respiratory protection. Joining it to the fuselage calls for sanding and fitting. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a primer before painting.
The set contains the resin part only. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
