Eduard 1:48 Ju 87B-1 seatbelts STEEL are pre-painted photo-etched steel seatbelts for completing the cockpit of a model of the German dive bomber.

This is not a kit but an add-on set of pre-painted photo-etched seatbelts in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The set belongs to the STEEL range: the parts are etched from thin steel sheet and printed at the factory with colors, stitching and fittings, so once removed from the fret the belts only have to be bent to shape and fitted into the seat. Steel holds a bend more faithfully than brass, so the belts drape naturally over the edge of the seat.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was the symbol of German dive bombing in the early years of the Second World War. The B-1 version had the more powerful Junkers Jumo 211 engine and fixed landing gear with its characteristic wheel spats. It became famous for the Jericho sirens, which produced a terrifying wail during a dive attack.
Separate the belts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and sand down the remains of the fret tab. Use a photo-etch bending tool or two blades for the bends. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) applied in a micro-drop, ideally with a toothpick. The color on the photo-etched parts can be gently emphasized with a dark wash in the details.
This is a cockpit accessory, not a standalone model. Glue and the kit itself are not included in the package.
