This photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard adds fine metal detail to the plastic kit of the Junkers Ju 87B in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory that replaces and refines selected plastic parts of the kit. It typically covers interior and exterior features - the instrument panel, seat belts, levers and small covers - etched into thin metal.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a German dive bomber of the Second World War; the B version had fixed landing gear in aerodynamic fairings. It became famous for its accurate dive attacks during the lightning campaigns and for the characteristic sound of its sirens in the dive.
The photo-etched parts are cut from the fret, bent along the pre-etched lines and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); on larger areas a two-part glue helps. Tweezers, a photo-etch bending tool and patience are recommended - the set is meant for more experienced modelers.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
