Flexible Stencils - CHEQUER M (6mm)

A flexible stencil with a 6 mm checkerboard pattern

A Green Stuff World masking stencil with a regular checkerboard; the size of one square is 6 mm. This is not a part of a model but an aid for painting. The letter M in the name designates the medium square size within the line, in which a larger and a smaller variant of the same motif also come out.

The medium square is the most universal

A six-millimeter square is legible but still fits on a hood, a vertical tail or the shield of a miniature without the pattern looking coarse. It is precisely with checkered decoration that measuring by hand backfires, because irregular spacing shows on a finished model immediately. The flexible plastic makes it possible to press the stencil even onto a curved surface.

Use

• First spray the lighter shade over the whole area and let it cure.
• Line the stencil up by the edge of the part, so that the rows of squares are not skewed.
• Press it down over its whole area; on curves, masking tape around the perimeter helps.
• Spray the darker shade perpendicularly, at low pressure and in several thin passes.
• Take the stencil off right after spraying and clean the paint off it immediately.

Paints, an airbrush and masking tape are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Clean the stencil immediately after use. Spray in a well ventilated space and protect your airways.
