The designation in the name refers to two different versions of the same half-ton Russian bomb, and the name states two pieces. The rendering is the work of AMMO of Mig Jimenez and the result is hung on a finished model of a combat aircraft.
The letter L stands for laser guidance. A designator holds the beam on the target, the seeker follows its reflection and the bomb arrives exactly where the operator is aiming. It is the most precise method, but it calls for visibility and continuous illumination. The abbreviation SE, by contrast, marks the satellite version: the coordinates are entered in advance, the weapon flies to them using the navigation signal and an inertial unit, and neither cloud nor night bothers it. In practice both solutions stand side by side, because each answers a different situation, and the crew chooses according to the weather and the nature of the target. The half-ton class is the most common one in Russian aviation and is carried by everything from the Su-25 to the Su-34.
The two versions differ outwardly above all in the nose, because only the laser one has an optical window at the front. The difference is worth emphasizing with color and sheen, otherwise it disappears. Leave the rest of the body in a matte coat with the edges of the tail surfaces gently picked out. Before assembly, check the material of the parts so that the glue will hold.
