Reskit 1:48 Kh-23M with the APU-68 rail (2 pieces) is a resin accessory of underwing armament in 1:48 scale — the modernized version of the Kh-23 missile as two pieces together with the rail.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Reskit differs from the basic version by the letter M in the designation: it is the modernized Kh-23M missile, again in two pieces and with the APU-68 launch rail. The set is a resin accessory, not a kit of an aircraft — it serves to replace or complete the stores on a model you already have.
The Kh-23M is an improved variant of the Soviet air-to-ground guided missile Kh-23, which kept radio command guidance but received altered equipment. In practice it was armament of tactical aircraft of eastern design, carried on the APU-68 rail. Anyone building a particular machine in a particular period should check against photographs which of the two variants they need.
Before building, wash the parts in warm water with detergent, so that the mold release agent leaves the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw rather than snapping them — resin cracks. Sand wet and with protection for your airways. Glue the joints with super glue, and on fragile parts the gel version helps, as it leaves longer to true things up. A primer forms the base, and only then comes the paint. It is practical to paint the stores separately off the model and fit them only once the camouflage of the fuselage is dry.
This is an accessory set, not a model of an aircraft. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
