Eduard 1:48 Kh-23M missiles are resin castings of Soviet air-to-ground guided missiles for hanging under models of combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of Kh-23M guided missiles from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an armament accessory: finely cast missiles with sharp detail on the fins and the nozzles will replace simplified kit stores, or add armament where a kit offers none at all.
The Kh-23M was a Soviet tactical air-to-ground guided missile with radio command guidance: after launch the pilot steered it onto the target by following the trace of its motor and sending commands from the aircraft. It served to destroy point targets such as armored vehicles, positions or smaller ships. It was carried above all by Soviet fighter-bombers, for example aircraft of the MiG-23BN, MiG-27 and Su-17 lines, and it spread to a number of allied air forces as well.
Separate the castings from the casting blocks with a razor saw and sand the mark with fine abrasive paper; when sanding resin, use respiratory protection or sand under water. Wash the parts free of mold release agent before painting and glue them with cyanoacrylate, or with epoxy; ordinary cement for polystyrene will not bond resin. A fine wash after painting will bring out the small details.
This is an accessory for modelers: neither the kit the set is intended for nor glue is included in the package.
