Two resin Kh-29T air-to-ground missiles with television guidance in 1:48 scale for Soviet and Russian combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kh-29 guided missile came about as a means against bridges, concrete shelters and ships near a coast. A warhead weighing around three hundred kilograms makes up most of the mass of a weapon weighing over six hundred kilograms, which makes it more a rocket delivered bomb than a classic missile. The range is around ten kilometers, so the pilot had to come relatively close to the target.
The designation T at the end belongs to the variant with a television seeker head. The operator picks the target on a screen, the head locks onto it and after launch the aircraft can already turn aside. The version with the letter L instead follows the reflection of a laser beam and calls for the target to be illuminated throughout the flight. The carriers were above all the Su-24, Su-25, Su-30 and MiG-27.
The package offers two castings with finely rendered panels, fins and the nozzle of the motor. Resin holds the sharp edges of control surfaces better than injected plastic; on the other hand thin areas are more brittle, so proceed with feeling while removing the casting gates. The pylon itself tends to be part of an aircraft kit. Scale 1:48 matches ordinary kits of attack machines.
When painting, it pays to keep to a light gray green base color for the body and a darker seeker head. The sharp transitions between sections can be accented with a thin line of a dark shade, thanks to which the weapon will not merge with the pylon on a model.
