This is a resin aftermarket detail set, not a model of an aircraft. It contains a faithfully cast oil cooler for models of the Japanese Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien fighter in 1:48 scale. The casting replaces the simplified plastic part from the box and adds realistic depth to the grilles and shapes of the cooler.
The oil cooler under the fuselage is a clearly visible item on this aircraft. An accurate casting improves both its shape and its definition compared with plastic. The set is intended for a particular type of aircraft, and it is advisable to check the fit before the build.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block away and clean it up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with protection for your breathing. A primer suits the painting.
This is an accessory for advanced modelers. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
