A set of resin underwing pylons for the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin jet trainer in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that replaces or supplements the pylons from the base kit, not a model of the aircraft in its own right. On the real aircraft the pylons carried training and light weapons or drop tanks.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was a Czechoslovak two-seat jet trainer, the first series-built jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design. It became the standard trainer of a number of Warsaw Pact states. Under the wing it carried two pylons that could take drop tanks, light bombs or rocket and machine gun pods.
Resin parts need more care than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. Dry-fit the pylons under the wing before gluing and check their spacing and angle so that the stores hang symmetrically.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
