Quickboost L-39/L-59 Albatros – Air Intakes, 1:48

A detail resin accessory from Quickboost (Aires). This is not an aircraft model, but a set of replacement air intakes that replace the plastic parts from the kit with a more accurate, better-shaped version. The accessory is designed for building models of the Czech trainer and light attack aircraft L-39 and L-59 Albatros in 1:48 scale.

Working and use

• Before gluing, wash the parts to remove mold release residue and let them dry.
• Cut the resin parts from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw and carefully clean up the cut.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate (CA) glue; ordinary plastic cement does not bond to resin.
• Sand and cut with respiratory protection, ideally wet – do not inhale the dust.
• Fit the replacement intakes onto the fuselage sides in place of the original plastic air intakes.
