An exterior set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio aimed at the inner surfaces of the flaps and at the landing gear bay doors. The elements are printed on a flexible film, they are raised and finished in color, and they give these places the texture and the shading that would otherwise call for photo-etch or laborious painting. The set is intended for Lavochkin LaGG-3 Series 66 models. It is laid out for the Zvezda kit.
The LaGG-3 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the Second World War, structurally interesting for its extensive use of wood and impregnated plywood. Series 66 belonged to the later, aerodynamically cleaned-up versions of the type.
The elements are cut from the sheet and applied to the matching inner surfaces of the flaps and doors; degrease the surface, work with tweezers and a sharp knife and trim the excess film away. Release each part from the backing paper with a brief dip in lukewarm water and slide it onto the gloss-painted surface. The details can be clear coated at the end and blended with the surrounding paint.
It contains exterior decals only; the model, the paints and the glue are not included.
