A photo-etched metal set for the model of the F-16C Block 25 fighter in 1:48 scale. The metal parts replace shapes for which injection-molded plastic is too thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched metal set is intended for the model of the F-16C Block 25 in 1:48 scale. Photo-etched metal can be as thin as real sheet, whereas an injection-molded part has to have a noticeable thickness because of the mold. That is exactly why photo-etched parts pay off where sheet is meant to look like sheet.
The F-16C is the single-seat version of the Fighting Falcon fighter, while the two-seat version carries the designation D. Block 25 was the first production block of the C series and brought a new onboard radar and wider possibilities of armament. The designation Lockheed-Martin in the name corresponds to the firm the program falls under today, because the aircraft came about at General Dynamics and the production program passed to the new owner only later.
Cut the tabs holding the parts on the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and level the remains off with a fine file. Make the bends along the marked grooves in one movement. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in drops to the edge of the part, as cement for polystyrene does not hold on metal. Before painting, degrease the surface and go over it with a base coat. The layout of the parts is given in the instructions of the manufacturer.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
