Color 3D elements of the instrument panel for a model of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning aircraft in the F, G and H versions in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The instrument panel tends to be the most conspicuous thing in a cabin, and yet in plastic it is usually only a smooth surface with engraving. Color elements with a three-dimensional relief replace this surface: the instruments have a depth of their own, readable dials and color rims without having to paint details a tenth of a millimeter in size with a brush.
According to the name the set is intended for models of the P-38F, P-38G and P-38H in 1:48 scale from the manufacturers Academy, Hasegawa, Italeri and Tamiya. Before gluing, try holding the element dry against the part from the kit; a small difference in the outline is evened out by sanding the plastic part, not by cutting the color element.
Before applying, check in the manufacturer's instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The application procedure differs between the individual ranges, so follow the instructions that accompany the set; only they are binding. The base has to be dry, degreased and flat. Transfer the element with tweezers or a wooden stick dampened with water, place it exactly the first time, because moving it across the surface will mark the color, and press it down lightly with a soft tip. Finish the cabin before you close the fuselage, as you cannot reach the panel afterwards.
The P-38 Lightning is an American single-seat twin-engine fighter aircraft with a central nacelle and a pair of tail booms. The F, G and H versions belong to its middle wartime series.
A set of color elements is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
