An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish two-seat Lublin R.XIII liaison and observation aircraft in the D version, in 1:48 scale from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby. The package contains clear parts and a decal sheet with several color options. The model brings a less known but interesting machine of the pre-war Polish Air Force closer.
The Lublin R.XIII was a Polish high-wing monoplane used for liaison duty and cooperation with ground units. It served for reconnaissance, courier flights and artillery spotting. The R.XIII D version was among the widespread production variants, and aircraft of this type were in service with the Polish Air Force before the Second World War and at its beginning.
On a high-wing aircraft, pay attention to seating the struts accurately and setting the height of the wing. Paint and fit the interior of the open cockpit in advance. Matte period finishes are best applied with an airbrush; soft color transitions and weathering will bring out the textured surface of the covering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
