This is a resin set of ejection seats (Martin-Baker, abbreviated M.B.) in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory meant to fill the Prowler cockpit with more faithful seats than injection-molded plastic offers. The castings capture the fine detail of the harness, the handles and the cushions.
Seats of the Martin-Baker GRUEA-7 type were used in the multi-seat cockpit of the EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft. They belong to the Mk. 7 family from the British maker Martin-Baker and are derived from the seats used in the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft. The set corresponds to the four-man crew of the Prowler.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The seats come into their own with careful accenting of the harness and the details. Sand the resin with respiratory protection.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
