A set of fine photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Hauler, intended to refine a plastic model of the American M26 Pershing tank in 1:48 scale. It contains brass parts that replace the coarser plastic elements and add detail. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. The target kit is Tamiya.
The M26 Pershing was an American heavy tank, later reclassified as a medium one, from the end of the Second World War, armed with a 90 mm gun. It entered combat in 1945 and became the forerunner of the postwar Patton family. It is marked out by its sturdy turret and wide tracks.
Photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over an edge or in a bender and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The set typically covers grilles, brackets, fenders and small fittings. Degrease the parts before painting and spray them with a primer; the small pressings come out once a wash is applied.
This is a detail accessory. The basic Tamiya kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
