About product

Aires Macchi MC.200 Saetta - wheels and painting masks (1:48)

A resin accessory from Aires for 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket set with finely cast resin wheels and painting masks that make it easy to separate the paint of the tire and the hub cleanly.

The real subject

The Macchi C.200 Saetta was an Italian fighter with a radial engine deployed during the Second World War. It was notable for its good agility and its robust structure.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the wheels, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Stick the mask on, spray the paint over it and peel it off once dry. The wheels can be treated with a slight sag for the impression of a weighted tire.

Who the set is for

  • For modelers who want faithful wheels and clean color transitions.
  • For builders of Italian fighters in 1:48 scale.

The plastic kit itself and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

Resin wheels with faithful texture of the tire and the hub, and painting masks for an easy, clean finish.

No. It is an accessory for a separately purchased Macchi MC.200 Saetta kit in 1:48 scale, and paints are not included in the package.

They are stuck onto the wheel, sprayed over with paint and peeled off once dry, which gives a clean transition between the tire and the hub.
