The New Ware 1:48 FW 200C-4 Condor BASIC mask set is the basic grade of masking for the model of this four-engine aircraft. The cut self-adhesive masks fit the shape of the parts with no measuring needed.

The four-engine Condor is a large model in 1:48 scale and its glazing has a matching area. Masking on that scale by hand is slow and the result is rarely uniform. The basic grade of the set from the manufacturer New Ware offers cut self-adhesive masks for the main surfaces that are covered before spraying, and it is the entry-level option in the range for this subject.
The larger the model, the more any unevenness shows. When the frames are painted over by hand, the start of a build looks different from the end, because the hand gradually tires and the width of the line changes. Cut masks are all the same and all equally accurate, so the model looks uniform along its whole length. On a large glazed area the most tiresome part of the work also falls away, that is cutting dozens of strips of tape to size.
Apply the large parts from the bottom up, so that a finished part does not block your view. Touch only the face side with your fingers, as a print on the adhesive reduces the tack. On long straight frames, check that they run parallel to the edge of the part; a slight twist adds up over a large area. Once applied, let the model rest for a while before spraying, as the adhesive settles in that time. Lay the paint on in thin coats and lift the masks off as soon as the surface stops being tacky.
The package holds only the mask set. A kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
