A specialized masking set from the Czech maker New Ware, intended for painting the exhaust nozzles of models of the American Grumman F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter (the A, B and D versions) in 1:48 scale. The masks are made of Japanese kabuki tape and serve to separate the individual segments and shades of the nozzles.
The nozzles of jet engines typically have a multi-tone metallic look (heat-tinted titanium, steel, burnt shades). The masks help divide the nozzle shell into segments that you paint one after another in different metallic shades. Apply the paint in thin coats and lift the mask off while the varnish is still fresh.
The set contains masks for the nozzles only. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
