A basic masking set from the Czech manufacturer New Ware for plastic models of the JAS-39A/C Gripen fighter. The kabuki tape set at BASIC level contains masks for the canopy glazing, the other clear parts, the wheels and the armament. The pre-cut shapes give crisp frames with no cutting by hand on the model itself.
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish single-seat multirole fighter of generation 4 with a canard delta aerodynamic layout. It handles fighter, attack and reconnaissance missions, which its very designation JAS expresses. The A version was the basic form, while the C version brought equipment compatible with NATO standards. The cockpit with its clearly legible framing is a rewarding feature to mask.
Stick the masks onto a degreased and smooth finish. The pre-cut parts fit the frames exactly, so there is no cutting with a knife. Kabuki tape adapts to curved surfaces and, once the job is done, it can be removed with no adhesive residue. Cover large open areas with ordinary tape or film before spraying.
This is a masking accessory, not an aircraft model. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
