The MD-3 Mule is a family of small airfield tow tractors of American origin, used above all by naval aviation over many decades. Its low build and short wheelbase allow maneuvering in the confined space of hangars and flight decks, while the tractor can shift even heavy carrier aircraft. The Mule appears alongside machines such as the F-14 and the A-6 and alongside helicopters and is a rewarding way to bring any aviation scene to life. The versions differ slightly in details (the exhaust, the tow bar, the seat).
First wash the parts free of uncured resin residue in lukewarm water with detergent. Cut the print supports off with a sharp knife or a saw and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), ideally the gel type with an accelerator. Apply a primer before painting; classic liquid cement for plastic does not work here. Add the patina (oil, dust, rubbing marks) with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
