Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a/U5 1:48 from Hobby Boss - an injection-molded plastic kit of the first combat jet fighter in the version with the heavier armament of six 30 mm cannon in the nose.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German jet fighter Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a/U5 in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. This version differs from the standard Me 262 in its heavier nose armament of six 30 mm cannon instead of the usual four. The model has finely engraved panel lines, a well equipped cockpit, detailed landing gear bays, engines and clear glazing.
The Me 262 was the first jet fighter aircraft in the world to be used in combat. The A-1a/U5 version was an attempt at maximum firepower against bomber formations: the nose carried six 30 mm cannon instead of the standard four. This heavily armed form was meant to cause a devastating effect in a single burst. It was a very small-batch experimental variant of the end of the Second World War.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit and accentuate it with a wash before closing the fuselage. Mask the glazing for sharp frames. Spray the mottled German camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats over a primer and bring it to life with a panel wash. Assemble the engine nacelles and the landing gear carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
