An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat version Me 262 B-1a in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The box holds injection-molded plastic, the extended clear glazing of the two-seat cockpit and a decal sheet; the model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the first series-produced jet fighter in the world to be used in combat, powered by a pair of jet engines in nacelles under the wings. The B-1a version was a two-seat training conversion created from single-seat machines; it served to convert pilots to jet aircraft and became the basis for the later night fighter variant.
Paint the extended two-seat glazing and both cockpits before closing the fuselage. Clean up the engine nacelles and the wing leading edges carefully for a smooth profile. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, apply a primer and the paint with an airbrush; the fine mottled Luftwaffe camouflage schemes can be managed with accurate masking.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
