The set brings together the wheel bays and the cockpit of the Me 262A Schwalbe jet fighter and serves to raise the detail of a plastic kit. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified landing gear compartments and the cockpit tub with faithfully worked parts with suggested structural fittings, an instrument panel and a seat. The package is usually rounded off with fine photo-etched parts.
The Messerschmitt Me 262A Schwalbe was the first jet fighter in the world to enter service in quantity, powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 turbojets. Both the cockpit and the landing gear compartments are among the places that base plastic kits often simplify.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit of both the bays and the cockpit with your particular kit before closing the fuselage.
