A resin detail set, not an aircraft model. The set contains faithfully cast control surfaces of the Me 262 in the A and B versions, which can be fitted on a model in a deflected position and so bring a static build to life. The set is intended for kits of this aircraft in 1:48 scale and pushes the detail beyond the level of the plastic from the box.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe was a German twin-engine jet aircraft and the first jet fighter in the world to enter operational service. The A version was a single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber, the B version a two-seater (trainer and night fighter). Its swept outlines and jet propulsion made it a technical milestone at the end of the Second World War.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue from the mold. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary plastic cement. Apply a base primer before painting.
