Replacement Quickboost propellers for a model of the Messerschmitt Me 410 in 1:48 scale. A jig for the assembly is included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Me 410 is a German twin-engine heavy fighter and fast bomber of the Second World War with a crew of two. Its propellers are visible from every angle and their shape is among the first things the eye notices on a finished model: thin blades with a marked twist and a hub that flows into the engine nacelle.
The set replaces the propellers from the original kit with separate parts with a more finely rendered blade shape. Beside them the package holds a jig that makes the assembly easier and helps seat the blades in a uniform position, so that once glued the propellers do not look out of true.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part, sand the area and wash and degrease the parts before painting. The blades are thin, so handle them with care and support them while sanding. Propellers are usually painted in a dark shade with the hub in a different one, so it pays to spray the whole part and paint the hub in last. Check the pitch of all the blades against each other before the glue sets, and wait with painting until the assembly has hardened.
The set is for modelers bothered by the coarse blade shape of the kit propellers, and for those who want both propellers on a twin-engine aircraft seated identically. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
